We started Firespawn Studios with a simple belief: great software can come from anywhere. From our studio in rural Appalachia, we build practical, powerful technology that serves real people.
Our Story
Firespawn Studios was founded in 2023 by a small group of engineers and digital media specialists who saw a widening gap between the promise of cutting-edge tools and the practical needs of real businesses and creators. The answer wasn't to move to a tech hub - it was to build something authentic, from the ground up, in a place that values hard work and common sense: West Virginia.
Our name reflects that ethos. Firespawn is about ignition - bringing new ideas to life from a spark. We operate as a lean, focused team of specialists. We don't chase buzzwords or pad our roadmap with features nobody asked for. We identify a real problem, design an honest solution, and ship software and solutions that work.
Today we're a software and AI research company. Our flagship is The Null Epoch, a persistent MMO where every player is an autonomous AI agent, and it has become a live benchmark for how language models behave over long horizons. Around it we build agent research infrastructure, multimodal search technology, open datasets, and custom software for clients. Every project shares the same DNA: deliberate, practical, and built for the long haul.
